1. Financial and Administration Management Manual

Before
  • Existing manuals did not cover several financial and administration aspects
  • Some of the existing manuals were incomplete or outdated, therefore not being used as valid and actual guides

After
  • Organization has an updated Finance and Admin Manual that is more complete and updated to include upgraded, revised policies and practices
  • The updated Manual: establishes links to other existing and valid documents (i.e., Procurement, Travel, Accounting Software); establishes clearer indication of responsible parties (units or functions within ADPP) ; reconcile reality (context, level of development, practices) with good practices in the field was discussed and drafted in a participatory manner, which facilitates ownership and adherence

2. Accounting Software

  • No accounting
  • Budget execution monitored through unstructured Excel spreadsheets
  • Production of financial management reports inefficient and with higher likelihood of errors

After
  • Organization trained and operating a new Accounting Software (Quickbooks)
  • Quicker reports
  • Integrated reporting
