EUROSIS

Health Sector

Overview and Experience

The health sector is one of the areas where our work has had some of its deepest and most sustained impact. We have supported Mozambique's Ministry of Health and a wide range of health-focused civil society organizations in strategic planning, HR development, organizational strengthening, monitoring and evaluation, and digital systems — contributing to a healthier, better-managed health system.

Our health sector work includes developing the National HR for Health Development Plan 2016–2025, the Strategy for Attracting and Retaining Health Workers, and the Strategic Plan of the National Directorate for Training of Health Professionals. We have also conducted mid-term reviews of USAID health programs, organizational assessments of local health partners, a digital patient registry system for fistula treatment in Mozambique, and deep learning studies on capacity development of local health organizations.

Organizations we have worked with: Ministry of Health (MISAU), INS, USAID, UNICEF, Focus Fistula, EHALE, PLASOC-M, N'weti, RCHS, ADPP, John Snow International (JSI).
